Neighborhood aunties, the Savdhaan India's inspiration are the reason for the modern day “whores”.
When I was a little child, my mom used to sit with aunties in our society (kitty for nowadays moms) the only hot topic was “How a girl’s life is wrecked by a guy.” And the examples given by the aunties were so inspiring that my mom prohibited me from talking to any guy. Mind that I was only two years old. She was so obsessed with the idea that she will bring me up wrong that she actually did. I was not allowed to talk to guys unnecessarily outside the class and my elder brother played a major role of being a tattle as we were in the same school.
I, being a normal kid, did what any other kid in my place would do. I talked to guys. The major discovery was made “guys are helpful” and I deduced that parents lie. It's not that I didn’t talk to girls, I did and every time they did something selfish my beliefs got stronger. Believe me you, the selfish deeds were not as simple as choosing themselves before me but stealing money, stabbing behind my back and stuff.
So from an early age, I friended boys and was a tomboy. My brother, on the other hand, used to tell my mom every time he saw me talking to guys, and I started hating him. Just to save me from my mother’s wrath I used to save my friend's number under girls name on her phone (well many girls can relate to that). So as I grew up I only had guy friends and when I left my school and college I cannot meet my friends as meeting them in my society or any place I will always have a fear in me to not to be seen by any of my neighbors or I will become the society, WHORE. So because of my mom who was so worried about what the society thinks I became a person who can’t stand girls around me and I have trust issues with my parents and my brother remains a guy who still gets angry when he sees me talking to boys.
I? I became a girl who has a lot of guy friends, according to modern day dictionary, a “WHORE”.
